10 Years Of Business Travel Plan Support At Bank Of America

2020 marks the 10th anniversary of TPS’s ongoing business travel plan support role across Bank of America’s UK and Ireland businesses and property portfolio.

Having first been appointed in 2010 to implement a travel plan at the company’s Chester campus, in compliance with a planning requirement, our role has since expanded to cover the ongoing delivery of a proactive sustainable transport programme and associated strategic business support.

Since TPS established the ‘MyCommute’ programme it has become embedded within the banks broader sustainability strategy and contributes to the MyEnvironment series of initiatives.  Through a retained role to act as travel plan coordinator our team deliver a range of services and support covering a staff engagement programme, delivery of bespoke travel plan measures, and annual monitoring and reporting.

Drawing upon our broader experience TPS also provide the Bank with more strategic support as required. This has included the provision of office relocation support, commuter and business carbon assessments, car park management strategies, engagement with local associations and advice on EV charging provision and management.

The MyCommute programme continues to provide a great example of how effective and pro-active business travel plans can deliver a range of benefits to both the employer and employee, including: reduced environmental impacts; fulfilment of planning obligations; supporting staff recruitment and retention; improved health and well-being; and reduced parking pressures.
