We are delighted to announce we’ve added two great new additions to #teamtps in the past couple of weeks. John Turner joins us as a Senior Consultant in our Development Planning team, whilst Sophie Peach-Dunhill joins us a Consultant Transport Planner, providing support to colleagues on both Development Planning and Sustainable Transport projects.

John Hacker
John heads up the team at TPS, having joined the business in 2003. He leads on a range of both Travel Planning and Development Planning projects, and currently assumes responsibility for overseeing over 130 live residential Travel Plan projects which TPS are appointed to deliver.

Rob Bettison
Rob joined John at TPS in 2008 after working in both the public and higher education sectors. Rob heads up many of the major travel plan programmes delivered by TPS, as well as leading on University, car park management and public transport planning work.

Georgina Stares
Georgina joined TPS in 2014, having previously spent 10 years working in private consultancy; she has a multi-disciplinary role, heading up the Development Planning side of the business, whilst also leading on a number of strategic travel planning projects.
Mother of three and marathon finisher who loves a murder documentary as much as reality TV.

Charlotte Green
Since joining TPS in 2015 Charlotte has taken a lead role within the Development Planning team, managing some of our larger and more complex schemes. She has over 14 years experience working in private consultancy and over her career has advised and supported clients in delivering all manner of developments. As part of the Development Planning team Charlotte specialises in the preparation of Transport Assessments / Statements – she enjoys the challenge of working closely with clients to secure planning permission.

Principal Transport Planning Consultant
John Turner
John joined TPS in June 2021 in the role of Senior Transport Planner, having worked in private consultancy for 7 years with an expertise in Transport Assessments / Statements and Junction Modelling. John has experience in development planning across a wide range of sectors including residential, healthcare, education and commercial land uses. John enjoys producing solutions for client’s specific needs and helping to secure planning permission.
Outside of work, John has recently become a Dad, has a season ticket for Huddersfield Town (for his sins) and is a craft beer lover!
Graphic Designer
Carl Heath
Carl has over 15 years’ experience as a graphic designer and in that time has worked on just about anything that you can think of in printed form, including branding to illustrations and infographics, from folded leaflets to 300+ plus page resources and all sorts in between.
A lover of films and music and a consumer of culture and loves to produce great work.
Senior Transport Planner
Saffron Allen
Saffron joined TPS in 2020, having previously acted as a Travel Plan Coordinator for Next Plc. Saff supports the wider team on a range of projects and is heavily involved in the implementation of a range of residential and business park travel plans.
Lover of the outdoors, collector of houseplants and general maths enthusiast.
Travel Plan Programme Manager
Gareth Evans
Gareth joined TPS in late 2022 as Principal Transport Planner, supporting the Travel Planning aspects of the business. He brings over 14 years’ experience from a raft of previous roles across academia, private & public sector, and most recently private consultancy. Gareth was the national travel & transport manager across 14 shopping centres (ex-intu properties) where he worked closely with centre management teams on the promotion of sustainable transport opportunities, and in his role prior to joining the team, he worked on a variety of public transport and active travel related projects for local authority clients.
Outside of work, Gareth is a keen foodie & real ale aficionado, enjoys getting out into the Northumberland countryside, and keeps an occasional eye on how Grimsby Town are doing!
Marketing and Communications Manager
Heidi Pearson
Heidi joined the TPS team in early 2023 as our Marketing and Communications Manager. Coming from another Travel Planning consultancy, Heidi has several years’ experience in Residential Travel Planning and has a keen interest in how best to promote active travel to different audiences.
Outside of work, Heidi can be found at a Parkrun on a Saturday or enjoying a long run on a Sunday morning. Working remotely from home, Heidi’s day to day colleagues all have four-legs including one puppy and two cats!
Consultant Transport Planner
Jacob Atkinson
Jacob joined TPS is 2022, in the role of a Graduate Transport Planner and has since been promoted. Throughout the first months of his career Jacob was focussing upon the delivery of development planning projects, learning the core skills required to support development proposals across a range of sectors, including: residential, commercial, sports, education, and the energy sector.
Outside of work, Jacob is an unenthusiastic Barnsley supporter (sufferer) and can be found wherever Guinness is being served on draught.
Assistant Transport Planner
Louise Followell
Having previously worked in procurement and logistics for a children’s clothing company, Louise joined the TPS team in early 2023 as our Assistant Transport Planner. She is new to the transport planning world and supports the wider team with anything residential planning related, working remotely from her home in Cornwall.
Outside of work, Lou enjoys muddy coastal walks followed by a cosy pub visit with her family. Lover of true crime, houseplants and red pandas.
Principal Transport Planner
Alice Thatcher
Alice joined TPS early 2023, bringing to the team many years’ experience of travel behaviour change work in both the charity and public sector. As Principal Transport Planner, Alice will be working on the implementation of business park and residential travel plans.
Outside of work Alice spends most of her time chasing after her young daughter. She also enjoys family bike rides, good beer and the occasional knitting project.
Graduate Transport Planner
Scott Taylor
After a successful summer placement, Scott rejoined the TPS team in 2023 as a Graduate Transport Planner. Relatively new to the world of transport planning, Scott will begin to support the team on a wide range of projects, whilst also studying his masters part-time.
