TPS have been supporting Leeds Trinity on transport and sustainable travel related projects since 2010, having initially been appointed to assist with a planning application for additional residential accommodation on campus. To address ongoing concerns around car parking, and to illustrate an ongoing commitment to sustainability, TPS developed a bespoke Transport Strategy for the University (the Integrated Transport Strategy or ITS); a range of commitments to support and encourage sustainable travel including the delivery of a shuttle bus from the local train station, effective car park management and support for active modes of travel.
TPS have provided ongoing support since this point, annually assessing the impact of the measures delivered through the ITS, coordinating the survey of staff and students, undertaking car park and traffic counts and providing an annual report to the university and local council.
Furthermore, TPS has supported the University on a range of specific initiatives including the development of the shuttle service timetables and tendering process, car park management strategy, delivery of car share promotions and more.
