Through our approved partners, we provide a comprehensive road safety auditing service for Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 of highway development, that complies fully with the experience requirements of GG119 of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB).
Road Safety Audits (RSA) are generally required where there are proposed changes to a public highway, often required as a result of mitigation proposals put forward within a Transport Assessment. Furthermore, Local Planning and Highway Authorities also require the submission of a Road Safety Audit as part of the adoption process of a new public highway.
RSA’s are split into the following 4 stages:
- Stage 1 – Completion of Preliminary Design
- Stage 2 – Completion of Detailed Design (or combined Stage 1&2)
- Stage 3 – Completion of Construction
- Stage 4 – Post Opening Monitoring (12 months)
